Carlton Ware Vert Royale Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set

This is a beautiful Carlton Ware Vert Royale demitasse coffee cup and saucer set. The footed cup is gilded on the inside with a lustrous gold. The set is a lovely green shade trimmed in gold (handle, foot, rim of saucer). The saucer is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, light crazing, but the cup has the tiniest hairline crack that can only be seen on very close inspection near the handle (not even visible in a close-up pic). Even so, the set makes a beautiful display. The light crazing is consistent with Carltonware of this age. The cup measures 2 1/2" in diameter at the top and 2 1/2" high; the saucer is 4 3/8" diameter. Both pieces have the backstamp "CarltonWare Made in England Trademark".
