The dish has no chips or cracks, and no visible crazing (even on the white base). The dish has the shape number "1608" impressed on the underside, indicating its introduction in the 1930's. Exquisite Carlton Ware Rouge Royale enamelled dish or bowl in the New Stork pattern that was very popular in the 1950's. This item is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and no wear to the beautiful rouge background. The hand painting (enamel) is crisp and the colours are bright. The wide gold gilt trim is also excellent with no wear. The dish measures 9" long, 5 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" deep. The bottom is clearly marked Carlton Ware Made in England "Trade Mark" "Rouge Royale". A simply beautiful CarltonWare piece!
